Quotes

"Wolf makes it look like he's been writing novels his entire life. The tight prose, great characters and the intense twists are all signs of a master at work. . . . Readers will be clamoring for more adventures with Jeremy Fisk."

- Associated Press
"A can-they-stop-him thriller in the manner of Day of the Jackal."

- Miami Herald
"Part police procedural and part ticking-bomb thriller."

- New York Times
"The first novel by the creator of Law & Order feels like a Law & Order episode. Thank goodness. . . . Like Law & Order, The Intercept works as well as it does because of its pacing; it's a fast read with a satisfying arc. . . . Its supporting cast members are drawn sharply enough to imagine them being inhabited by New York character actors."

- Slate
"It's a winner. . . . This book reads like its real. There are no literary flourishes, just solid writing, intricate plotting, and a lot of surprises. Highly recommended."

- Kingston Journal (MA)
"Wolf brings his reputation and considerable writing chops to The Intercept, and the result is a one-sit read with plenty of twists, turns and emotional appeal . . . Wolf's sharp characterizations and cinematic descriptions provide plenty of fast-moving, enjoyable and entertaining scenery to keep you occupied from first page to last. More installments are promised, and they cannot arrive quickly enough."

- Bookreporter.com
"Wolf's espionage and police-procedural hybrid combines the brainy suspense and unfiltered social commentary found in the best Law & Order episodes with perfectly calibrated action. . . . Readers will be fascinated with the inner workings of the Intel Division, modeled on the CIA, and by the full-sensory description of New York. . . . Wolf knows his crime, and his first novel is being treated as a major media event."

- Booklist
"A spectacular fiction debut . . . A pulsating plotline. Clever characters. Dramatic dialogue. Surprising twists. All make for an edge-of-your-seat read that will have thriller fans eagerly awaiting the next series installment."

- Library Journal (starred review)
"Dick Wolf has proven he's a master storyteller in any form. The Intercept is gripping, telling and timely. Bottom line: It's a great read!"

- Michael Connelly, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Fifth Witness
"Fascinating, tense, and twisty-the real deal."

- Lee Child, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Affair
"The Intercept is the hottest thriller of the year. Superbly written and amazingly intense, Dick Wolf has created an action-packed masterpiece. Picture Robert Ludlum writing for "24" and you're only halfway there. Do not miss this incredible novel. Intercept yours ASAP!"

- Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Black List
"Dick Wolf's The Intercept is nail-biting, page-turning, twisty suspense. Warning: If you value sleep, don't start this one late at night."

- Harlan Coben, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Stay Close
"An adrenaline-fueled, ripped-from-the-headlines suspense novel, as befitting a renowned TV crime drama writer and producer. The Intercept goes where few thrillers have gone before, charting the inner workings of the nation's fight against terrorism as one New York detective races against the clock to stop an elusive cell of elite terrorists. It does for the NYPD's Intelligence Division what Thomas Harris did for the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit. In this novel, danger is always closer than you think."

- Lisa Gardner, New York Times bestselling author of Catch Me
"Dick Wolf, the brains behind Law & Order, brings his considerable talents to The Intercept, a thriller that grabs your attention on page one and holds it until the breathtaking ending. Jeremy Fisk of the NYPD's Intelligence Division will enter literature's Great Detectives Hall of Fame. I hope to see more of him. This novel has sharp writing, perfect pacing, and a smart and sophisticated plot. It's a head above most War on Terrorism novels."

- Nelson DeMille, New York Times bestselling author of The Lion
"Like Law & Order, this book unfolds crisply and intelligently, with a nice mixture of suspense and social observation. . . . Wolf does a shrewd job of setting the stage for his protagonist's next appearance. Storytelling pro Wolf knows how to ratchet up tension and sustain it."

- Kirkus Reviews
"A smart, suspenseful, highly professional piece of work that should rank with the best of this year's thrillers."

- Washington Post
"Dick Wolf extends his brand masterfully in The Intercept . . . Wolf, who turned formula into high art in Law & Order, uses many of the same devices he deploys so effectively on TV: crosscutting, scene-shifting, manipulating points of view. That's how he builds suspense."

- Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
